Cookies

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure and report on visits to our websites. We also use Google Analytics to collect data about website traffic via Google advertising cookies and identifiers for Demographics and Interest Reporting. Google Analytics transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. It does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

We do not use Google Analytics Remarketing.

Social Logins

You can log into this website using a social login (Facebook, Google, Twitter & Microsoft). We only require the basic information (first name & last name) provided by these websites, along with your email address. We do not request the ability to post to your profile, receive your friends list or any other details.

The only information we store from your social login is your email address, name, country, and their internal identification number for you.

We will only email you if you have set up notifications in your preferences.

What data is collected

Account information

If you create an account, the only personal information collected is:

  • first name
  • last name
  • email address
  • country

The country is initially calculated using MaxMind's IP address to country code database and you can then change it manually after account creation.

Webserver logs

Our web server and content delivery network logs all requests to the website and associated files, logging your IP address, the file requested, web browser version and referring page.

Enquiries etc

When you complete the contact forms on this website to add en event, send an advertising enquiry, etc the details you supply on the form, along with your IP address and web browser version are sent via email to us. We log the IP address and web browser version to allow us to debug issues with the website that may affect your location or browser.

Delete your account / data

If you would like to delete your account or remove the link between your social login (e.g. Facebook) and Running Calendar accounts, please use the form on our Delete Account page. This is a manual process for us, but we will do it as soon as possible, usually within 24 to 72 hours.

Your account is used on the following running calendar websites: www.runningcalendar.co.nz, www.runningcalendar.com.au, www.runningcalendar.co.uk, www.runningcalendar.ie so the request below will remove your data across all these websites.

Note that your Running Calendar account contains only very limited amount of information about you: your first name, last name, email address and country. We do not request any other information; your name and email address are used only to personalise emails sent to you; and the country for date & time settings.

Once your account is deleted, we no longer retain any information about you.

Advertising

All advertising on this website is self hosted and sold directly by us to our advertisers; we do not use 3rd parties (such as Google Adsense) to serve ads.
